September 4,2025 FISHING REPORT
Mackdays begins today.
Whitefish slowing down. Sparce now. spotty. deeper
Whitefish seem to be moving north but they are moving deeper slower but being caught in the same places They are now from 43 feet to 62 feet to 70 to 80 feet deep is what we are hearing from the fishermen. Depending where you are. Between Melita Island and Wild horse Island, Dream Island and Mack Alley towards Big Arm. You can put your boat in at Walstad State Park. They can also be found around Rocky Point along with Lake trout as the Lake trout are mixed in with them, usually 50 feet. Lake Trout in Rocky is sparse right now. Elmo, 10 lake trout caught in 55 feet. In a month and a half they will be spawning coming in closer.
Trolling up in Elmo Bay, get in at Walstad. Big lake trout and a cutthroat.

Streams low this year but you can still Brook, rainbow trout and cutthroat.
Reservoirs, steady and improving with a variety of fish- small mouth, bait fish, and trouts and perch.
Lake Mary ronan good but Kokanee is slow
Best fishing is 250 ft deep water. Eastside and in the middle of the lake.
Turtle Lake – large mouth bass
Kicking horse .. Large mouth bass This is a good time to fish the mountains, if you want to pack it in.
Pablo Reservoir Pike . its cooling down so some perch has been caught.
